PULSE
10:00 AM
Hey guys, I'm back with another awesome Kickstarter project. This week we feature the Pulse from the creatives over at Alpine Labs. They have created an awesome remote trigger for you DSLR's. The Pulse is unlike any other trigger on the market, it allows the user to be able to shoot stills, start and stop video recording, control the camera's setting and capture awesome timelapse wirelessly from your smartphone. Pulse plugs into your camera usb port and attaches to the hotshoot on the top of your camera. Another awesome feature that Pulse boast is that it has a 100 ft bluetooth low energy radio. The user is able to control up to three cameras that have an attached Pulse device. Pulse is also super small and sleek allowing you to take it wherever you want, without taking up a lot of space. The Pulse app on your smartphone allows the user to view live previews of photos and videos that were just taken. The app will also let you know if something has gone wrong like low battery before it ruins those long time-lapse photos. Pulse's Exposure Ramping feature allows the user to ramp their ISO and shutter speed so that you can capture day-to-night transitions (the "Holy Grail" of time lapses) without having to touch their camera. The design team designed this feature specifically to work with LRTimelapse.
Unlike shooting in Aperture or Shutter Priority, Exposure Ramping keeps the users camera in manual so that their photo's EXIF-Data is written properly for LRTimelapse workflows.
Pulse is $74 right now on their kickstarter page and is due out in April 2016.
