On Monday, Nike released images of the Kobe 11's. Designer Eric Avar seems to have stuck with the same design philosophy thats brought the Kobe line of sneaker to the popular status that they have enjoyed over the past couple of years. This will be Kobe's last on the court shoe. I'm sure the releases will continue just like his idol Michael Jordan's line has. The Kobe 11's "Achilles Heel" will release on January 9th on nike.com and select retailers. The use of Nike's Flynit technology is heavy with the past few Kobe models. I have yet to try on any Flynit shoes, but I hear that the material is strong and lightweight.
I think that I like this model, I love the simplicity of the model for sure. But to me it doesn't look like a basketball shoe at all. Its low profile makes them look like more like a casual sneaker, but with high quality and advance materials. I do love the new unique looking out soles, and the nod to the greek god Achilles on the back of the shoe. I'm guessing these will retail for about $220. What ya'll think?
