Earlier this week the 58th annual Grammy Awards nominees were announced. Leading that list with 11 nominations is King Kunta himself, Kendrick Lamar. This is well deserved for the young MC. Dude had one of the best if not thee best album's of the year. Even President Obama is a fan, stating in an interview with People magazine that his favorite song of 2015 is "How Much A Dollar Cost" off Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly album. The real question here is... will we being seeing Kendrick up on that stage giving multiple acceptance speeches or will it be a repeat of last year? We all know the Grammy's don't like "Urban" music. (YES I SAID IT!) Some other artist that I would like to see win are Pharrell and J. Cole. I would love to see Cole take home best rap album. He did his thang on that album with NO features. But Kendrick will probably win that i'm guessing. In the end I just hope the most deserving artist win in their respective categories. Often times its a popularity and bias selection that wins, which is super wack. We will have to wait until February to see who will be holding up the awards.
